There certainly seemed to be a difference in the playability of the clubs. It also felt like there was less vibration on off center hits. I will definitely bring you my new clubs in the Spring so you can do some more magic..." Ron Janes CPGA Professional Head Pro Toronto Hunt Club ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "This winter I attended the PGA Merchandise Show again and spent a day with two of the most innovative companies I have come across in recent memory. The first was SST PURE, which is a company that has a patented technology whereby they find the sweet spot in the golf shaft as it relates to the club head, and then it is re-aligned for optimal performance. The company is based out of Miami, Florida, but they have a licensed technician here in the Niagara area. Grant Tayler, a Master Club Maker out of Tayler’s Quality Golf in St. Catharines, can “Pure” a set of clubs like no other. It truly does work, as both Chris Keller and I had our sets “PUREd” in November. We took them down south and we were both convinced about the difference it makes in the feel of the shot, as well as added direction and distance. On a side note over 80% of the PGA Tour Players worldwide are playing with clubs that have been PUREd. I am arranging for some information sessions to take place in late May for anyone interested in learning more about having their set of clubs “PUREd.” The other innovative company is Trackman, who has been getting a lot of media time lately on golf telecasts. Trackman is the state of the art “tracking system” that is being used by all of the PGA tour players and their coaches. It is set up on the driving range and it monitors each shot and gives back useful information about the shot. Such as launch angle, ball speed, spin sped of the ball, distance the ball carried, decent angle, etc. All this is done by using the Doppler radar technology. The good news is that Tayler Quality Golf ahs purchased tow of these units and will bring them here to CHC from time to time this summer for some demonstrations. I am excited about these two new innovations and how they can be used to improve the game of golf for all. We will be setting up these information sessions with the dates and times posted on the website as was as, posters around the club when we will be setting up these information sessions. These sessions will be at no cost and will give you an insight of what the best players in the world are doing to improve their game. Who knows, maybe you can take something from it and improve yours as well." Jeff Roy PGA Professional Director of Golf Operations and Instruction Cherry Hill Club, Ontario, Canada ---------------------------------------------------------------- "Grant I want to thank you and you staff for all the work you put into my shafts in my irons. I am down in Florida and never have hit the ball better and farther. Played my first round today in 6 weeks. 68 shocked me. Thank you again for everything." Chris Keller Assistant Pro Cherry Hill Club, Ontario, Canada ---------------------------------------------------------------- "I did indeed like my clubs...had 3 birdies in a row and other shots close...they felt awesome...thanks." Karin Mundinger CPGA Member Former LPGA Touring Professional (1986-99) Played on the European and Asian Tours Former Ontario Junior and Ontario Amateur Champion Teaching Professional Wooden Sticks Golf Club ---------------------------------------------------------------- "As you know, the results of having my 26 degree hybrid PUREd were incredible. Before being PUREd, my usual full swing shot was a huge hook. After the club was PUREd, my hook disappeared completely. I am now able to take dead aim at my target, and hit a high, soft, solid shot with complete confidence. I should also add the contact feels much better . While I have only had my new irons for a very brief period of time, I have been getting exactly the same results, much more accuracy and confidence. Now that my clubs have been PUREd, I only have myself to blame when I miss my target. Players who want to play the best they can should not hesitate to have their clubs PUREd. It is not an expense. It is an investment in a better game, more confidence, and more enjoyment. It is unfortunate that I did not know about the PURE process earlier. Had I known about it, and had it done, I am confident that I would have won the Canadian Senior Long Drive Championship more than once." Kit Lefroy Handicap 10; Age 67
